WILD Canine Rescue has teamed with thousands of animal organizations from around the world to participate in the annual Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption drive, founded by Helen Woodward Animal Center. The campaign, which runs from Oct. 1, 2017 through Jan. 2, 2018, unites over 4,000 partner organizations, (in all 50 states and in 26 different countries) with a focused goal of placing orphaned pets into loving homes The Home 4 the Holidays pet adoption drive began with a growing concern for the number of rescue facilities closing their doors during the holiday seasons. In seeking the perfect holiday gift, would-be adopters were forced to resort to pet stores or puppy mills. Additionally, pet store staffers, untrained to assess the likelihood of a successful animal/family match, contributed to an increased number of pets sent to shelters once the season was over. The Home 4 the Holidays Campaign asks rescue facilities to keep their doors open and get the word out. The program has grown into the largest pet adoption drive in the world and is credited with saving over 13 million pets across the globe since its inception in 1999.
With millions of homeless pets in the U.S., it is important everyone get involved to help save a life this holiday season, WILD is proud to be a part of this amazing campaign and we are dedicated to finding loving homes for orphan pets so they can experience a happy new life but we are counting on our community's help in in providing Foster Homes. Please join us in Saving lives and try Fostering this Holiday Season. This is a great holiday experience for you and your family.
To celebrate the campaign's kickoff, Starbucks Coffee is supporting WILD Canine Rescue's fostering program and is inviting the community to try out fostering during the holidays. Starbuck's Coffee will donate a gift card to every new foster and to anyone who recruits a foster during the holiday season. LETS GET WILD ABOUT FOSTERING!
Its pretty simple, the more committed fosters we have during this holiday, the more dogs we can save. YOU WILL BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE AND SAVING A LIFE!
Foster License fee waived during the trial period.

What a WILD Day at Sheedy Shores Winery for 2nd Annual Wild Bone Drop. was a huge success! It was a Wild DAY OF GIVING BACK BEGINNING WITH OUR GRAND PRIZE WINNER
Our $2500 winner was Greg Curl, First Bankers Trust, and he graciously donated the money back to WILD! Our "loser" Emily Mitchell, General Manager of the Wyndham, did the same! Our 50/50 winner Dr. Sherry Simmons also gave her winnings back to WILD! We never expected any of this and it will really help WILD continue the mission of rescuing abandoned, neglected, abused and homeless dogs in central Illinois and beyond. Our celebrity Bone Dropper Eveyln Brandt Thomas was right on target! THANKS to ALL WHO BOUGHT TICKETS AND ATTENDED THE EVEN
Special Thanks to our Grand Dame of Springfield Evelyn Brandt Thomas, our helicopter pilot Jess Moats and Egizii Electric for sponsoring our Transport Vehicle for our rescue work.
